 Regular physical activity provides significant physical and mental health benefits.

In adults, physical activity helps:

* Prevent chronic health conditions
* Manage chronic health conditions
* Reduce depression and anxiety
* Enhance brain health
* Improve overall wellbeing

In children and adolescents, physical activity helps: 

* Promote bone health
* Encourage healthy growth
* Encourage development of muscle
* Improve motor and cognitive development

However, data shows that 31% of adults and 80% of adolescents don’t meet the recommended levels of physical activity.

 Any physical activity is better than none. Here’s how to get your physical activity levels up:

 - Pregnant and postpartum women should get 150 minutes of physical activity per week.

- Adults and older adults should get 150-300 minutes of physical activity per week.

- Children and adolescents should get 60 minutes of physical activity per day.
